Meet Learn. Build. Grow. — a lightweight hub for Cloud, AI, Security & Networking
Free accelerator for AIF-C01, a voice demo you can talk to, and a fast “what’s new” feed powered by Remy the coach 🐶
Why I built this
I kept hearing the same two frustrations from folks breaking into AI/cloud (and from seasoned pros):
“There’s too much content. Where do I start?”
“I can’t keep up with what changed last week.”
So I built learn.techwithdarin.com to make the early steps obvious and the weekly catch-up quick—without trying to replace the real work (labs, projects, shipping).
Philosophy: clarity → AWS mapping → exam heuristics, plus a rhythm that nudges you to keep learning.
What’s inside
1) AWS AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) accelerator
A guided path that mirrors the official exam guide—study flow, flashcards, pop quizzes, and a realistic mock exam. It’s opinionated enough to keep you moving, but flexible enough to adapt.
Start here: https://learn.techwithdarin.com/certs/aif/
You’ll see Coach Remy along the way—small encouragements, celebratory confetti on wins, and focused study tips when you miss.
Built as an accelerator—not a replacement for hands-on. Pair it with guided labs and your own AWS experiments.
2) Conversational AI (voice) demo — ElevenLabs
Ask cloud & AI questions and hear natural responses. Under the hood: RAG grounded in AWS best practices, and utilizes voice cloning via ElevenLabs.
Try it: https://learn.techwithdarin.com/demo/convowithai/
Use headphones for the best experience.
3)
Remy’s Fetch
— What’s new in
Cloud • AI • Security • Networking
This is your skim-friendly, nonsense-free feed. Toggle List for speed or Cards for summaries. Filter by provider, switch light/dark, and your preferences stick via local storage.
Check it: https://learn.techwithdarin.com/whatsnew/
Sources include AWS, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Cloudflare, Okta, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Snyk, SentinelOne, Microsoft Security, and more.
Backend is a small AWS Lambda that fetches RSS/Atom, normalizes entries, dedupes, and writes JSON to S3 with short cache headers (so CloudFront shows fresh updates fast).
How to use this (a simple plan)
Week 1–2 (Foundations):
30–45 min/day on the AIF-C01 accelerator (study → flashcards → 10-question pop quiz).
Do at least one lab/day in your own AWS account (even tiny reps count).
Week 3 (Reinforce):
Sit the mock exam.
Remy highlights your focus domains (<80%); loop back with targeted flashcards and docs links.
Ongoing (Keep current):
Open Remy’s Fetch 3–5 minutes each morning. List mode. Scan provider + title. Done.
Save deeper reads for later, but maintain the skim habit.
Under the hood (for the builders)
Frontend: vanilla HTML/JS + Tailwind, light/dark theme, localStorage for user prefs.
News backend: Python Lambda + S3 + CloudFront, aggressive dedupe, and HTML/CDATA-safe parsing (Atom + RSS).
Voice demo: ElevenLabs for TTS/voice + RAG grounded in AWS best practices.
If you want me to write this up in detail (code, IaC, caching strategy), reply and I’ll publish a deep dive.
Roadmap
Expand accelerators (SAA, ML-Specialty patterns).
More provider packs in Remy’s Fetch (you can already toggle what you want).
Optional email digests for the feed (if there’s interest).
More hands-on lab pointers woven into the AIF-C01 flow.
